Countdown to Futurama: British Planet Express Stephen Colbert Looks at South America

Giant bags of weed, mud-wrestling and passing out by the kiddie pool: it's that sacred mix of college party and family reunion that we only dream about. But for the recent grads on Workaholics, it turns out that with the right amount of makeup, you can relive those unremembered glory days at the Gathering of the Juggalos. The Village Voice chatted with the show's director, Kyle Newacheck, about the awesome accuracy of last week's episode and his new found interest in the culture.

We were like, "Holy smokes! Look at this Gathering. Look at all the people who show up and all the activities they do." That's what got us: how organized it was. That they have helicopter rides. Faygo-spraying competitions. Stand-up comedy. Ice-T is over there. And Afroman. It's like, "Holy crap, what is this underground culture that's so organized, yet so [pause] different?"

When not chilling with their ICP brethren, the Workaholics boys have been giving the inside look on their show to Comedy Examiner Scott Wampler who interviewed Blake Anderson and Adam DeVine earlier this month. This week it's Anders Holm's turn, and he's clearly not letting the show's success get the better of him:

…I don't really look like I do on the show.  Like, I don't shave my face.  Or the coiffed hair.  But Blake gets spotted from the Hubble telescope, and Adam gets recognized.  But I was at the grocery store the other day and some guy in the parking lot was like, "Hey, dude– like the show!"  And I was like, "OK, great, just don't kill me.  It's kind of dark out here."

Check out the rest of that interview here, and the Village Voice Q&A here. After the jump watch the boys party with the Juggalos and catch a clip of Anders in action from this week's episode.

Workaholics airs Wednesdays 10:30/9:30c
