Comedy Central Stage

August is the last month of summer. Come September, you'll have to go back to school. Or, if you're an adult, continue working every day for the rest of your life with no seasons off. Fortunately, there's a whole month of amazing free Comedy Central Stage shows to make it all better.

All shows start at 8pm with limited seating at The Hudson in Hollywood. Call (323) 960-5519 for reservations.

13 Tuesday
Hosted by Melia Mills
Come be intrigued by dazzling tales of whimsy. Hilarious stories ranging from mind blowing to utterly embarrassing. Featuring Kurt Braunohler (Chelsea Lately), Brian Finkelstein (The Ellen DeGeneres Show), Charlie Sanders (Key & Peele), and Melia Mills (Comics Unleashed).

14 Wednesday
Improv Comedy
Nice People would like to invite you over for a friendly evening of improv. Feeling crabby? Let some Nice People turn that frown upside down. Nice People are: Darrin Bragg, Chris Corbin, Amy Kiser, Jill Klopp, Katya Lidsky, Matt Longwell, Rose Marziale, Matt McConkey, Maria Ochoa, Alexandra Ruddy, Ricky Sans, Jake Thomas and Jacquelyn Zook.

15 Thursday

The longest running spoken word show in Los Angeles. Come laugh at people’s internal worlds! With Suzanne Whang, Carlos Kotkin, B. Mark Seabrooks, Annie Korzen and Eric Kaplan. Presented by Jill Soloway, Maggie Rowe and Andersen Gabrych.

20 Tuesday
Antonio Sacre
Come watch comedic writer and storyteller Antonio Sacre play out the crazy Miami club scene, tell you about so-called organized crime and share stories of brotherly love. LAist raved it’s “hilariously crude… endearing as it is entertaining.”

22 Thursday
Craig Cackowski, Robert Dassie, Rich Talarico
Dasariski combines the names and talents of Dassie, Talarico and Cackowski, who are known for their “slow play” style of longform improv, taking a single audience suggestion and creating a half-hour plus piece of theater, focusing on believable characters and relationships, eschewing the cheap joke for the long-term payoff.

27 Tuesday
Comedic Talk Show
Comedians Barbara Gray, Brandie Posey, and Tess Barker welcome a special guest and variety of characters onto their bizarro talk show to discuss ‘hot topics’, showcase unusual talents and revel in forty-five minutes of shenanigans.

28 Wednesday
Improv Comedy
Long-Form Improv that exposes a little too much. The LA Examiner calls them “a tight-knit, tightly-wound group of improv titans…one of the most consistent on-the-spot groups.” Featuring Christopher Duva, Jeff Grimm, David Jacks, Patrick McGrath and Samantha Roy.
