Some people might know the Roman emperor Caligula as an insane tyrant, known for his cruelty, extravagance and sexual perversity. Anthony Jeselnik, on the other hand, knows him as a lunch companion and the title of his new one-hour stand-up special. Practically the same thing.

Tune in to the premiere of Anthony Jeselnik: Caligula on Sunday, January 13 at 10/9c.

My two New Year's resolutions were to be a better person or something and to get more Nick Kroll in my life. Luckily, one of these things can happen because Kroll's new sketch series Kroll Show is coming in just two weeks. Make adequate preparations: watch a preview and some classic Fabrice Fabrice stand-up. Take that, 2013.

Tune in to the premiere of Kroll Show on Wednesday, January 16 at 10:30/9:30c.

Hey scientists, get out of your real above-ground laboratories full of serious matters and enter a more artificial, subterranean one. Eugene Mirman's fake underground laboratory has a Theremin, oversized bottles of fake medicine, visits from Kristen Schaal and comedy. That is clearly superior, so drop whatever testtube you're holding and watch Eugene's first one-hour stand-up special next Friday.

Tune in to the premiere of An Evening of Comedy in a Fake Underground Laboratory Friday, December 14 at 12am/11c.

The economy is hitting everyone hard. We've all had to scale back on our gold top hats and foie gras chewing gum. No one knows this better than Gary Gulman.  In his latest stand-up special, Gary explains why Donald Trump is barely a billionaire and confesses to the anxiety of unwatched movies on his Netflix queue. You can't afford not to watch it.

Tune in to the world premiere of Gary Gulman: In This Economy, Saturday at 10/9c.

If the Mayans were right, we've got just a few more weeks before the end of the world, which means this month may very well be your last chance to see some free comedy at Comedy Central Stage. Luckily, you'll have seven opportunities to do just that, starting tonight.

All shows start at 8pm with limited seating at The Hudson in Hollywood. Call (323) 960-5519 for reservations.

Written and performed by Liz Bolton and Jordan Rennick
Our parents woke up early, had mortgages and made birthday parties fun. Doesn’t that sound impossible? Lex and Joe are thirtysomething in Los Angeles where no one seems to have any of this figured out. Also featuring Kelly Ewing, Steve Florian, Brad Gage, Eileen O’Connell, Roxana Ortega, Joey Ready, Courtney Richards, Billy Scott, John Shartzer and London Thor. Directed by Mitch Silpa.

4 Tuesday
Jen D’Angelo
Written and performed by Jen D’Angelo (MTV, The Laugh Factory), this sketch show blends live and video segments as it follows five contestants competing in the Little Miss Chattanooga beauty pageant. There can be only one winner, and it certainly won’t be the girl with the flute because everyone hates her. She’s gross.

5 Wednesday
Sketch Comedy Group
Butt University, a sketch show from Chicago-born Sad On Vacation, follows a band of single-minded characters whose appetite for good times is rivaled only by their complete lack of regard for the consequences. They’ve appeared at Groundlings, Just For Laughs Fest, and with Bob Odenkirk’s Not Inappropriate Show and Gentlemen’s Club.

11 Tuesday

In Russell Peters's latest stand-up special, he takes the audience on a trip around the world to make fun of every race/nationality/ethnicity. No one is safe as Russell skewers speech patterns, languages and news coverage from across the globe. Take that, Hungarians! Why do you call yourselves Magyars anyway? Who are you hiding from?

Tune in to the uncensored network television premiere of The Green Card Tour, Friday at 1am/12c, but first watch a preview about how Russell learned the Hungarian word for "kiss " in a strip joint.

This weekend, take some time to reflect on the things you are thankful for — like Kyle Kinane and maybe your loved ones. Kinane's first one-hour stand-up special premieres on Saturday and delves into the existence of God and the true meaning of being delivered an unsliced pizza. It's what the Pilgrims would have DVR-ed.

Watch Kyle Kinane: Whiskey Icarus this Saturday at 11/10c, then get the extended/uncensored digital album and special (with 20 minutes of extra material) on Tuesday, November 27. Treat yourself.
