Phil Lamarr talked to the The AV Club about Futurama, getting shot in the head in Pulp Fiction and the late, great George Carlin. Here's a great quote where he explains the origin of Hermes…

“When I first… started doing the character, he was not called Hermes. He was called Dexter. He was not Jamaican, he was just an overweight accountant. And the character didn’t work… But I had the good fortune of having Matt Groening walk up to me in the hallway after one of the table reads and say, ‘Hey Phil, can you do a Jamaican accent?’ Now, given the fact that the character wasn’t really working, had I said ‘no,’ we probably wouldn’t be talking right now… we changed the character, and then it sort of clicked. The writers found an angle for him. And here we are, 13 years later, and I’m still doing it.”

A new Futurama episode premieres Wednesdays at 10/9c.

We're very proud to announce three new series coming to Comedy Central.

Anthony Jeselnik will bring his signature dark and twisted point-of-view to the network in his new untitled weekly topical series.

Also, his press release quote is great: “‘Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money,’ said Jesenik”

Watch a clip of him on last year’s Roast of Charlie Sheen.

Amy Schumer, who you might remember from her breakout set on the Roast of Charlie Sheen, will star in a sketch series that will feature single-camera vignettes centered around a theme with Schumer playing heightened versions of herself. The vignettes will be linked together with stand-up footage.

“The Ben Show” is a sketch/man-on-the-street hybrid starring comedian Ben Hoffman. Each week, he’ll take on a different life journey which could include him forming a band, finding religion, or auditioning for a reality show. Hoffman seeks advice from people in his life including his dad, ex-girlfriends, and therapist, who will also act as episode co-hosts.

Hoffman was written for a ton of cool stuff, including Sports Show with Norm Macdonald (where he was also a correspondent) and the MTV Movie Awards. He also appeared on Arrested Development, and you may know him as the guy who pranked the Internet by tweeting as if he were actually present at George Clooney’s Obama fundraiser.

You can read more details about all three shows over at Deadline.

Earlier this week the news broke that Roseanne Barr will be the next Comedy Central Roastee. This year's roast will be historic because it will mark the first time anyone has ever made fun of Roseanne.

Not only that, it also marks the first time Jane Lynch will serve as Roast Master!

You know know Jane Lynch from her appearance in every movie ever (including The 40 Year Old Virgin, Role Models and Best In Show) or you may know her from Glee, where she plays Sue Sylvester. Wherever you know her from, you know also know her from being the best.

The Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne tapes in Los Angeles on August 4. The Roast will premiere on Comedy Central on Sunday August 12 at 10pm/9c.

When I was a kid, my mom claimed she sent my dog to live in a farm, but I knew the truth. He left to become a professional basketball player. They made a documentary about him called Air Bud. My mom obviously didn't tell me because she was afraid I'd feel inferior in comparison to my basketball playing dog. The point is, like the Workaholics guys, I've also experienced loss.

An all-new Workaholics airs tonight at 10:30/9:30c after Tosh.0.

I love dreadlocks because I support any hairstyle that provides a justifiable explanation for not showering. While performing at Bonnaroo, Key and Peele notice a lot of blonde dreadlocks in the crowd.
